Liberia is considered the 3rd poorest country in the world according to the International Monetary Fund, with a formal employment rate of only 15%.
Healthcare in Liberia faces significant challenges due to limited resources, inadequate infrastructure, and a shortage of trained medical professionals. The country is still recovering from years of civil conflict that only ended with democratic elections in 2005. In the two decades since then, the country has struggled to provide consistent access to quality healthcare services, particularly in rural areas. Many healthcare facilities lack essential supplies and equipment, and there is a heavy reliance on international aid to fill gaps in basic medical services. Common health issues in Liberia include infectious diseases like malaria and tuberculosis, as well as maternal and child health challenges. Our mission will be able to have a major impact on the quality of life in the community we will be serving.
We are extending this invitation not only to medical professionals, but also to anyone who is willing and able to help. Whether you are a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, technician, therapist, or simply an individual passionate about making a difference, your skills, expertise, and commitment are invaluable to the success of this mission trip. There are various roles and responsibilities that need to be fulfilled, and we firmly believe your presence and active participation will make a significant difference in the lives of the underserved population in Tanzania.
We will be providing an online registration portal where you can register for this trip and submit your details. Should you have any queries or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
